Members & Volunteers
This Terms and Conditions Agreement (“Agreement”) sets forth the terms and conditions that apply to you or your organisation's (“Member” or "Volunteer") participation as a Member or Volunteer with the BRISBANE TONGAN COMMUNITY INC. ("BTC") and its subsidiaries and established organisations, including the PASIFIKA TV & RADIO, QLD TONGAN LANGUAGE SCHOOL and the HEILALA DANCE ACADEMY ("Organisations").
This Agreement covers any and all functions, programs, events, hosted by, the BTC Organisations or part thereof.

Volunteer Start Time and Duration:
You will be notified of your start time and duration as determined by the relevant BTC Organisation. The Director’s decision is final and not negotiable. You will be required to volunteer for no longer than your allotted pre-approved and agreed duration. Failure to adhere to this timeframe.

Reporting:
You must report to the Green Room/Studio/Event location at least 30 minutes prior to your volunteer Start Time.

Public Liability Insurance:
All volunteers must complete the registration form and accept the terms of this Agreement to be covered under the Public Liability Insurance, with a minimum amount of cover of $20,000,000.

Waiver:
Volunteers and/or Members that don't conduct themselves within the terms of this Agreement, any policies and procedures set by the BTC and its Organisations or contravenes a Law of the Commonwealth and/or the State of Queensland waives any protection under the Public Liability Insurance held from time to time by the BTC and its Organisations.

Liability Disclaimer:
Volunteers and/or Members who volunteer at a BTC event do so at their own risk and are required to indemnify and hold harmless the BTC, their representatives, their staff and volunteers, and event sponsors against any claim for damages, costs, expenses, and liabilities (including, without limitations, consequential loss and loss of profits) in respect of any loss, damage, or injury caused through any of the activities, products, and belongings at the BTC event.

Code of Conduct, Refusal and Dismissal:
the Volunteers and Members are expected to behave professionally, respectfully, and in accordance with the BTC's and its Organisation's code of conduct. Any behaviour deemed inappropriate or disruptive may result in removal from the event, function or program at the discretion of the Organisation.
The Organisations reserve the right to refuse any applicant or Volunteer who does not wish to maintain the spirit of the event, function, class or program, and/ or wishes to make time changes without notice. The Organisations reserve the right to dismiss anyone from the premises if they are causing damage, interfering with any other person, or disrupting the order of the event, function, class or program.

Set-up and Pack-up of Equipment:
Volunteers are responsible for removing all equipment from the stage/venue/program before leaving the premises at the end of the performance or volunteer session. The Organisation and their representatives will not be held responsible for any items or equipment that an individual or group brings or leaves behind as part of their program, class or event.

Photo, Video, and Social Media Footage:
By agreeing to this Agreement, you, the Member, Volunteer, grant the Organisations, and its authorised representatives, the irrevocable and unrestricted right to capture, use, reproduce, and publicly display any photographs, videos, or other media recordings taken of you, your group, your performance, and any related activities during the event, function, class or program, for promotional, advertising, and marketing purposes.
You acknowledge and agree that all media materials captured at the event, function, class or program, including but not limited to photographs, videos, and audio recordings, shall remain the exclusive property of the Organisation. You hereby waive any claim to ownership, royalties, or compensation arising from or related to the use of these materials.
By participating in the event, function, class or program, you release the Organisation, its representatives, employees, and agents from any liability or responsibility for the use of your image, likeness, or voice in any media materials, as well as any loss, damage, or infringement of personal or intellectual property rights that may occur in connection with the capture or use of such materials.
You warrant that you have the authority to grant these rights and permissions, and you agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Organisations from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from the use of media materials in accordance with this Photography and Media Clause.

Intellectual Property Rights:
Volunteers retain all intellectual property rights in their original works and programs where applicable. However, by participating in the BTC or its Organisations' event, function, class or program, you grant the relevant Organisation a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, reproduce, and publicly display any photographs, videos, or other media.
